First Edited Version of my Music Video

This is my first version of my music video, i have yet to record the footage which will be placed where the screen goes black. This is my progress so far, i have used a variety of tools to achieve this outcome using the software Adobe Premiere Pro.

Some of My Original Footage

Editing My Music Video

For this camera shot i altered the speed of the video to 70, this produced a slow motion shot of kelly dancing during the instrumental of the song. i also reversed the speed of the shot to make the shot play in reverse. also like the rest of the music video i have put the shot in black and white to continue the black and white theme throughout.

Editing Videos using Adobe Premiere Pro

To edit the video which i shot on Wednesday i used the Adobe software Premiere Pro which allows you to add effect to your video to make it look of a higher standard and allow the music video to have a more professional final look. On all the video's so far i have used the auto colour and auto contrast tool which i dragged into the time bar at the bottom, this improved the colour of the videos. it was important that i continued rendering the video so that it saved my work as i was going along and meant that the playback would be clear. I also tired out different effects such as the spot light to see if it worked well. i finally decided to make the video black and white as i feel it worked well with the styling of the artist and made the video look better on a whole. As the theme through the video is 1950's the black and white effect fitted the theme.

What i hope to achieve this lesson

  • i hope that this lesson i will begin to start editing my music video, the footage is what i filmed within the photography studio at Shiney Row.
  • Futhermore, i will write an email to the owners of the location which i have chosen for locational shooting.
